Courtney and I woke up, had croissants and coffee at Boîte, and then went to volunteer at the Wildlife rescue. It was amazing to see hundreds of baby possums in cages! But, oh, there was work to be done! We had to clean out the cages, give fresh food and water, and make sure that the possums hadn't eaten each other. Did you know that possums are cannibals? Well I didn't. I held my breath as I unfurled each hammock (shown below). Luckily, we only ran into one that had it tail chewed a little on by its brothers and sisters - silly little savages! Courtney kept leaving the cages open and after we were done we found a little guy who had escaped! He was put back in his cage. There were birds, bunnies and baby raccoons! All needed a little time and help before they are rehabilitated to go back in the wild! We are going back next week! Let me know if anyone want to join!
